Unveiling of exhibition at Spring Arts Centre

The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre's open exhibition has been officially unveiled by the centre's director Sophie Fullerlove.

It displays high-quality artworks by local and regional artists working in the mediums of drawing and pottery.

Ms Fullerlove said: ‘The entries this time were very impressive. There was a huge range of work and it was fascinating to see how our given definition of drawing and pottery had been interpreted.’

One of the winners was Brenda Potter’s pottery work Dog Butter Dish and Simon Cowper’s drawing of an ‘Old House’.

Both winners were handed a cheque for £25.

The work featured in the final exhibition had been chosen by a panel, including Clive Caswell from Aspex Gallery in Portsmouth, and Peter Levy who is a local ceramicist working at Making Space.

The exhibition continues until Friday, June 3 at The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre in Havant.
