UPDATE: Firefighters rescue a horse on Hayling Island
FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a horse that was stuck on its side in a ditch.
Officers were called to Yew Tree Road, on Hayling Island at 4.39pm this evening.
Firefighters from Havant fire station, Brockenhurst fire station and an animal rescue unit from Lyndhurst fire station attended the scene.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service’s control room sent out a Tweet confirming the female horse was saved.
