A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of neglect after a child fell from a window in Gosport.

It comes after the youngster was rushed to hospital today after falling from an upper-storey window at a property in The Anchorage, Gosport.

Hampshire police confirmed a 24-year-old woman was arrested and is currently in custody.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 8.39am to reports of a child falling from a window in Gosport.

‘The child was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham after sustaining minor injuries from the fall.’

A police spokeswoman said the child is still undergoing medical tests and investigations are ongoing.
