VETERANS of Bomber Command will be guests of honour at the annual family day at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum near Chichester on Sunday, May 15.

A dozen Second World War airmen will sign prints, cards and books on sale at the museum shop in aid of the Bomber Command Memorial Fund.

As well as the permanent museum exhibits, the day also features competitions, a treasure hunt, a children’s painting competition, and military vehicles and re-enactors.

Author Laurence Green will be signing copies of his new book Great War to Great Escape – the story of Flt Lieut Bernard ‘Pop’ Green who participated in the Great Escape, and later settled in Chichester.
