ONE of the best spots to see the stunning view of Langstone Harbour has been spruced up.
Southmoor Hill at Broadmarsh Coastal Park, Havant, has been revamped by Havant Borough Council so it is easier to access.
A hard-surfaced parking area has now been created on top of the hill. New benches and areas for wild flowers have also been installed. The parking area will be restricted to three hours and access is daytime only.
RSPB warden for Langstone Harbour, Chris Cockburn, said: ‘The council’s improvements at Southmoor Hill have created a wonderful opportunity for people to get closer to nature.
‘There are great views from the hill of the harbour, the islands and wildlife. There is a viewing platform to watch the ducks on the nearby pools. It is really wonderful to be able to access one of my favourite viewpoints again.’
