RESIDENTS are being urged to contribute to a blueprint that will steer the future of their village.

Horndean Parish Council is busy drawing up a Parish Plan to decide how it wants the area to develop over the next decade.

A group called Horndean Into The Next Decade (HIND) has been formed to spearhead the work and it will hold its first big meeting on Wednesday, April 6, at Napier Hall, Horndean, from 7pm.

At this meeting new members will be encouraged to join HIND to help see the plan through to completion and to join the committee to take an active role.

Councillor Guy Shepherd, who sits on Horndean Parish Council, said: ‘This is another key milestone in the completion of the Parish Plan, and after several years work by HIND and the dedication of many local residents, we are on track to complete the plan this year.’

For more information on how to get involved in the plan contact Steve Dawson, group secretary, by emailing or call (023) 9259 7766.
