VOLUNTEERS who make a difference to their community are in line for awards.

Havant Volunteer Centre is organising an awards ceremony on August 6 at 12.30pm at The Plaza in Havant.

Organiser Janet Duggan said: ‘As it’s the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee we particularly welcome volunteers who have 60 years of service.’

To qualify for an award, people must have volunteered in the borough of Havant for at least 100 hours of service over the past year or have volunteered for a period of five years or more.

The closing date for nominations is today.
