MORE volunteers are needed to help keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives.

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charity is looking for volunteers whose interests range from talking to groups of people and organisations, distributing and collecting donation pots and manning stalls at events, to raising funds in the community and from businesses, and helping with administrative tasks at the head office.

John Perry, chief executive officer of the charity, said; 'Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance relies very heavily on the support of its volunteers. We have some fantastic volunteers at the moment, and we need more. We are looking for people interested in volunteering and who have a range of skills.'

He added: 'Volunteers make such a difference to a charity, and without them we couldn't provide the service we do, so we aim to look after you while you look after us.'

If you would like to volunteer for the charity contact Kirsty Watts at Kirsty@hiow -airambulance.org.uk or call 02380 333 377.
