BRAVE volunteers are needed to walk on fire for charity.

KIDS, the Fareham-based disabled children and young people’s charity, is looking for 40 volunteers to walk on hot coals later this month.

The event takes place on Thursday, March 24, at The Alverbank Country Hotel in Stokes Bay from 7pm.

Matt Wilkinson, fundraising manager for KIDS, said: ‘This really is the ultimate challenge of a lifetime. As the name suggests you will walk over red hot coals that can measure up to 800 degrees centigrade.

‘Once you have completed a fire walk you will have the confidence to do anything.’

Registration is £20 and participants must raise £100 in sponsorship.
