MAKE the most of a beautiful harbour during the summer holidays.

There are a range of activities to take part in at Chichester Harbour beginning with a splash walk on Friday. The fun starts at 11am, crossing the harbour channel by ferry and paddling along the tidal shoreline path at high tide.

The fee is £4 and participants will meet at the Chichester Harbour office.

There will be stream dipping on August 21 from 10am. Adventurers aged over five can paddle in the stream and dip with nets to catch and observe the creatures there. The fee is £3 and the meeting place is the car park at Fishbourne Parish Church, off the A259.

There is a walk to the top of the harbour from the Bell Tower, next to Chichester Cathedral from 10am on August 25. The 10-mile walk takes in Fishbourne, Bosham, and Emsworth.

And sculptures will be created from driftwood on August 29 at a workshop at Hayling Island Lifeboat Station. Booking is essential for all events. Call 01243 513275.
