Warning as Asian hornets are spotted in Hampshire '“Â REGIONAL
ASIANÂ hornets have been spotted in Hampshire '“Â posing a potential risk to honey bees and other insects.
The hornet does not pose a greater risk to humans than native hornets but can disrupt other insect activity.
Anyone who spots them is asked to report it so the National Bee Unit and Animal and Plant Health Agency can find and destroy the nests to stop them establishing in the UK.

Hide AdTo date, there have been nine confirmed sightings in England and five nests have been destroyed.
The two spotted in Hampshire were in Brokenhurst and New Alresford.
Other sightings include one in Lancashire and three in Cornwall.Â
