A SUPERMARKET launched its annual poppy appeal last weekend.
Fundraisers will be at Sainsbury’s in Waterlooville throughout the next fortnight to collect donations for the Royal British Legion.
The supermarket chain is now in its 22nd year of supporting the appeal, and last year managed to raise £2m for the charity.
Pete Driscoll, manager of the Hambledon Road store, said: ‘We’re really excited to welcome the collectors into our store this year and look forward to all the activities we have planned to help this fantastic cause.’
Claire Rowcliffe, RBL’s director of fundraising said: ‘We’re extremely grateful to Sainsbury’s colleagues and customers for their support over the past 22 years.’
