OUR business centre is currently supporting Home-Start Gosport & Fareham, a local group formed from one of the county’s leading home support charities.

Home-Start aims to help families as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.

These days parents are under more and more daily pressures when it comes to bringing up a family, and with the current economic climate it can be a terribly daunting task.

The Home-Start volunteers, who are also parents themselves, build relationships with these families and offer them practical and emotional advice to provide the best care that they can.

Through dedicated fundraising, the Basepoint Gosport Business centre is committed to raising as much money as it can for the charity in order to help boost these relationships and the support that the families receive.

We’re owned by The ACT Foundation, a UK grant-making charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need. As such, the ACT Foundation match funds any money raised, up to the value of £10,000.

To effectively double their fundraising efforts for the year is a huge help to such a small organisation.

This year alone we have match funded over £2,000 and hope to do much more as the year goes by.

Our next fundraising event, Whatever the Weather, is a family fun day on Saturday, September 14 at Gosport Cricket Club.

The event will be running from midday until 4pm.

All are welcome and we hope to raise a good amount of money on behalf of the Home-start charity.
