WEATHER damage has led to a celebration marking 10 years of Portsmouth’s community allotment being postponed.

Previously scheduled to take place tomorrow the event, which was going to feature an arts exhibition, a plant raffle and the chance to do some gardening, will now be rescheduled for later in the summer.

This is due to damage to the allotment caused by the bad weather over the weekend. It is run by Portsmouth City Council, and is at Milton Piece, off Locksway Road in Milton.

It is open all year round to community groups, schools and nurseries, and people with mental health issues or learning disabilities.

For more information about the birthday event or to arrange an allotment visit, residents can call Tony Keen on (023) 9268 8388.
