The ferry operator has been forced to cancel the 10am sailing from Lymington and the 11.05am from Yarmouth due to the adverse conditions.

However, the FastCats is still running a ‘good service’, the ferry operator confirmed on Twitter.

The service will also be running as usual from Portsmouth Harbour and Ryde during the Burnaby Road bridge replacement works.

Earlier this morning Wightlink also had to cancel the 7.45am from Lymington and the 8.50am from Yarmouth.

South Western Railway has warned people to allow extra time for journeys when travelling from Portsmouth Harbour to or from the Isle of Wight during the Burnaby Road bridge works, which are expected to last until Friday.
