THE heavy downpour of rain experienced along the south coast is not expected to go in to the weekend.
Thunderstorms and heavy cloud dominated the skyline this morning, which saw a blitz of rain.
A weather warning is in place until 11pm, but after that things are set to clear up again.
Dan Williams, spokesman for the Met Office, said: ‘Thunderstorms were predicted for the south coast, and there have been some pretty heavy downpours in places.
‘There is a weather warning in place until 11pm tonight, but after that it should stabilise.
‘There will be reasonable calm conditions over the weekend, but people will feel a breeze.
‘Temperatures should hit the high teens or 20 degrees celsius mark over the weekend, with tomorrow feeling warmer.’
