Cosham fireworks 2018: Hour-by-hour weather forecast ahead of this evening'sÂ displayÂ
The annual King George V playing fields firework display is set to take place in Portsmouth tonight.Â
But with the weather starting out rainy and damp in the city today (November 7) will that put a damper on the event?Â
With the display openingÂ at 4pm and the bonfire being lit at 7pm and the fireworks beginning at 7.30pmÂ '“Â so will you need to bring a rain coat?

Do you need tickets?Â
The firework display is free '“Â so you won't need to purchase tickets.Â
Cllr Steve Pitt, cabinet member for culture, leisure and sport, said:Â '˜Our free annualÂ fireworksÂ display is always really popular and attracts lots of people from across the city.Â
'˜Arrive early, bring your friends and family and enjoy the evening and the display.'Â
What about parking?Â
The display, funded byÂ PortsmouthÂ City Council always draws the crowds so please avoid driving if possible although parking is available at Lakeside.
Please follow the advice from marshals andÂ use the underpass from Lakeside to the event site to avoid crossing Western Road.Â
Visitors are also asked not to bring their ownÂ fireworksÂ or sparklers to the display, as these are not permitted on site, as they are a health and safety risk.
