Hampshire snow: Hour-by-hour forecast for Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant, Fareham and Waterlooville

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for much of the county and parts of Portsmouth.

The alert remains in force until 11.59pm and warns of snowfall.

On its website the Met Office says: 'Snow will bring travel disruption to parts of England and Wales.

‘Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers.

‘Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel.

‘Some rural communities could become cut off.

‘Power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.’

Heavy snow is forecast to fall in Clanfield and Horndean at 10am, light snow is forecast for East Meon at 11am, light snow is forecast for Winchester at 10am.
