Website launched for inaugural Clanfield Challenge running event

A WEBSITE has been launched for the Clanfield Challenge, a new event taking place in May.

The site includes information on three races aimed at all ages and abilities as well as all race-day information.

And it has information on local volunteers and supporters, the option to pay for entry via PayPal and up-to-date news.

The event is the first of its kind to be organised in Clanfield and follows the example of local races in surrounding villages, such as the Denmead 10k and the Hambledon Hilly.

Business group, Clanfield Online first discussed the idea of setting up an event in November 2015.

Anne Cleaver of Clanfield Online said: ‘As part of a review of the funding received from local businesses who were keen to support the activity of Clanfield Online, we felt that a local race was a great use of some of our donations.

‘Not only is the race designed to generate additional income to pour back into the community but it also encourages health, wellbeing and the importance of community to all participants and supporters.’

The first Clanfield Challenge will have three races.
