Here’s a quick look back at the big Blues stories of Wednesday, October 21.

We began the day with Aaron McCarey ruing the ‘heartbreaking’ late leveller which cost Pompey victory against Stevenage on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Pompey skipper Michael Doyle called for calm in the fight to rebuild the club’s home form.

Manager Paul Cook echoed those sentiments and encouraged everyone to look forward rather than dwell on the disappointing draw.

Neil Allen and Jordan Cross discussed the game in our Pompey Talk: Verdict show.

And then we dipped into the archives for our Magic Memories feature and brought you a great picture of the huge queue for FA Cup semi-final tickets in 1992.

News broke late in the day the Blues were to be hit with a £4,000 fine for their part in the melee at Cambridge United.

The pride was soon put back into Pompey by Johnny Ertl, though, as he joined us on the sofa for a special Pompey Talk: Extra-time.
