PORTSMOUTH’S History Centre is holding a series of talks and workshops for Explore Your Archive Week.

The week of events will take place at Portsmouth’s Central Library from November 19, starting with a workshop on the city and the First World War hosted by local author James Daly.

Talks will be given by Richard Brooks to mark the centenary of warship historian Fred T Jane’s death, and by University of Portsmouth archivist Anna Delaney on the history of the university.

A workshop on looking at Portsmouth documents of the 17th and 18th centuries, led by senior archivist Michael Gunton, will be held.
