ACTOR Aubrey Morris, known for roles in films including A Clockwork Orange and The Wicker Man, has died.
Morris, who was born in Portsmouth and lived in the city until he was 18, passed away in Hollywood aged 89.
One of nine children, he also starred in TV shows such as Z Cars, Lovejoy, On the Buses and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Among his many other film apprearances were The Zany Adventures of Robin Hood and Bram Stoker’s Legend of the Mummy.
One of his nephew’s, Bernard Mendel, from Southsea, said: ‘He was a very kind man who was close to his family, and well-known to a lot of people in Portsmouth.’
