The historic Bat and Ball pub, in Little Hyden Lane, Clanfield, near Hambledon is famous as being the home of cricket.

In fact it was not where the game was invented but records show the laws of the game were drawn up in the pub in 1744.

The pub is believed to date from many years earlier.
