This 200-year-old pub, in Worlds End, sits on Forest Road where Denmead meets Hambledon and Wickham.

It was originally a farm house before the family started a distillery and called it The Pig and Whistle.

It continued as such for many years until, at the turn of the 20th century, its name was changed to The Chairmakers.

Locals say it was because the nearby woods were used to make chairs for everyone in the village.
