Here is a handy list of the events coming up in this year’s Summer of Fun.
- Visit Southsea Castle tomorrow for a fun-filled day making colourful kites for children aged between two an 11.
Youngsters will create three kites at the session, which costs £5 and £3 for siblings.
Painting suits and overalls will be provided.
Book with Fiona Burn from the Creation Station on 023 9239 7116 for the event, which will be held from 10.30am until noon.
- Visit the Gun Room on board HMS Warrior at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard between 10.30am and 4.30pm where young sailors can take part in activities including costumed role-play, and be entertained with toys, games and colouring sheets.
- Port Solent will host a Funky Lunch workshop from 11am to 4pm on Thursday.
Youngsters will be able to learn special techniques to use with the tools to shape fresh fruit and salad vegetables and create a fun and interesting lunchtime sandwich.
Silly Scott perform a magic show and free donkey rides will be available at the centre on August 26.
