This is when Portsmouth's amazing fire works display in Gunwharf Quays is happening

A FIREWORKS extravaganza will once again be exploding in the sky above Portsmouth.

Gunwharf Quays is once again fixed to stage is annual spectacle Thursday, November 8.

The show is regularly attended by thousands of people from across the city.

And although free to attend, organisers are urging visitors to set aside a donation for children's charity Barnado's.

Colin Wilding, general manager at Gunwharf, said: '˜The annual fireworks extravaganza is one of the biggest events in our calendar and we are delighted to be hosting this year's event with our charity partner Barnardo's.

'˜Although admission to our event is free, we are encouraging visitors to donate as much as they can to our charity, Barnardo's '“ if everyone attending gave just 50p we could raise an incredible amount to help those most vulnerable in our community.'

The show will feature a number of music acts that will be revealed later.
