WALKER’S COLLEGE: Are there any ex-pupils who went to the former Walker’s College, Woodpath, Southsea who would like to meet up in the Portsmouth area in the near future?

I attended Walker’s College from 1957 until 1963. My teachers were Mrs Kate Lane and Mr Neil Milton

HMS FISGARD: I am seeking any Royal Navy Artificers who joined HMS Fisgard from late-1958 to 1960 (what we know as Series 34 to Series 40 inclusive), or any of their colleagues who for one reason or another came together with these entries.

For those who joined in 1958 this is their 55th anniversary year (I joined in January 1959).

We spent many years together during a formative part of our lives and many of us served together in the fleet, but while our friendships and shared service experience are of great value to us, many lose touch over the years. We are all close to, if not in fact 70 now (or indeed older), and time and tide stand still for us no more than for anyone else.

We are arranging a weekend reunion in Dawlish, Devon, at the end of June this year for this group and for the Fisgard Association, an organisation bringing together former Artificer Apprentices from as far back as the late-30s to the current day.
