Wizarding school opens doors for Halloween

FAMILIES have the chance to make their own wands, learn how to ride broomsticks and tame dragons this weekend as a shopping centre transforms into a wizarding school for Halloween.

This weekend shoppers at Whiteley Shopping Centre will be able join wizarding school with a variety of free activities taking place across the day between 11am and 4pm.

Special guests ‘Naughty Wizard Wanda’ and ‘Dragon Trainer Doris’ will help children to tame the mechanical dragon, who will be visiting on Saturday at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.

On Saturday, children can be transformed into little witches and wizards by face painters.

Centre manager Mia Gordon said: ‘This Halloween we’re excited to host something completely new to Whiteley.

‘Traditional ‘trick or treating’, or apple bobbing is always great fun, but our new Wizarding School is a fantastic addition to the festivities this year.

‘We’re really looking forward to welcoming families to meet Wizard Wanda and Dragon Trainer Doris, who will provide plenty of entertainment on the day.’
