A WOMAN is recovering in hospital this morning after her car rolled over in an accident.

Firefighters cut the driver free from her grey Renault Megane after it hit a barrier on the southbound carriageway of the motorway and was sent spinning off the road at junction four at 11.37pm last night.

Two crews from Havant, and one from Cosham, in Portsmouth, removed her from the car which had come to rest in roadworks off the side of the motorway.

The middle-aged motorist complained of hip pain and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, by paramedics.

Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
