A WOMAN was rescued from a burning flat in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters saved the resident from the blaze in St Andrews Road, Southsea, around 2am this morning.

Crews from Southsea and Cosham worked to tackle the fire.

South Central Ambulance Service also sent medics to the scene.
