THERE is a rare six-week work experience opportunity up for grabs at a council-run music festival.
The lucky student or graduate who lands the job at Butser Fest, held annually on Butser Hill, near Horndean, will get the chance to experience how a major event is run, and will have to hit the ground running by promoting, planning, and helping to run the social media side of the festival.
Excellent communication and writing skills are essential.
The festival is aimed at 14 to 20-year-olds and is strictly alcohol-free.
But families are also welcome.
The festival attracts top bands with this year’s line up including Kids in Glass Houses, Yashin, Futures and Canterbury.
The deadline for applications for the work experience post is June, 22.
Interviews are expected to be held on July 9.
To find out more about the job, go to butserfest.co.uk or call East Hampshire District Council’s Richard Wells on 01730 234082 or 01730 234396.
