A WELL-known wrestler will be remembered at an event tomorrow.

A knockout tournament will be held for the Dave Hines trophy in memory of the Havant wrestler.

Mr Hines died in May from cancer at the age of 64.

A women’s wrestling match will headline the event at Waterlooville Community Centre, near Asda.

Two of the country’s top female wrestlers – Erin Angel and Amazon – will battle it out for a title match.

Erin, a 25-year-old swimming instructor from Southampton, is just over 5ft tall – compared with Amazon, from Kent, whose real name is Ayesha-Michelle Ray, who stands 6ft tall.

The event is part of a bid by Waterlooville Community Association to bring in more funds to help run the centre.

Wrestling was held at the community centre in February and was so popular it is returning.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Adult tickets are £10 and £7 for concessions. Tickets can be bought on the door.
