ASPIRING singers will have the chance to make their dreams come true when a hit TV talent show returns.

The X Factor mobile auditions are coming back to Portsmouth and any up-and-coming vocalists are being urged to go along.

They return today in Cascades Shopping Centre, between 10am and 5pm opposite T K Maxx.

But if it’s anything like yesterday’s auditions at Southampton’s West Quay shopping centre, there may not be the rush organisers are hoping for.

The Daily Echo reported that representatives had to convince people to even audition, with only half a dozen people lined up as the event started.

Rhoda Joseph, shopping centre director, said: ‘We’re delighted that The X Factor will be returning to the centre and to be hosting the Portsmouth auditions.

‘There is such a wealth of fantastic performers in the city just waiting to be discovered. It’s great news that talented acts will have another chance to sing their hearts out for the producers.

‘Everyone at the centre is crossing their fingers to see if the next X Factor megastar comes from the Cascades auditions and I’d like to wish everyone taking part the best of luck. I’d encourage anyone who thinks they have what it takes to come along and give it a go. ‘

Auditions are held on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Acts are advised to arrive early to avoid missing out.

If they impress with their vocals, they will then be in with a chance of auditioning in front of the X Factor judges.
