AN investigation has been launched after a blaze broke out in a building yard behind a row of houses on Tangier Road, Baffins.

Two fire crews from Southsea were called to the incident at 1.50am on Saturday morning and are treating the incident as suspicious.

Firefighters tackled the blaze until 4am and managed to stop the flames spreading to any of the nearby buildings.

Police also attended the scene at 5.10am to help with the investigation in a bid to find out the cause of the fire.

No one was hurt in the incident, the fire service said.
