BUDDING young motorists will be given a course in precision driving.

East Hampshire District Council has teamed up with Southsea Motor Club to give children aged 14 and over the opportunity to sit behind the wheel as well as get a taste of the motor sports world.

Instructors will guide the young drivers around the makeshift course in Penns Place car park in Petersfield, on Sunday, July 19.

Drivers will be challenged to navigate through a low-speed course, making sure not to hit any obstacles along the way.

The winner will receive a framed picture of themself in the car and tickets to this year’s Butserfest.
