POMPEY fans of all ages were left with smiles on their faces as they got to watch the Blues train in an open session.
Hundreds of fans were invited to Fratton Park in the final week of school summer holidays to attend the event and watch the players put through their paces.
The session was overseen by assistant manager Joe Gallen, with Kenny Jackett missing out through illness.
Also missing was skipper Brett Pitman, another said to have succumbed to illness.
Some of the Pompey players who spent time with the fans were Jack Whatmough, Christian Burgess, Oli Hawkins, Jamal Lowe and Matt Clarke. Conor Chaplin also joined his teammates in posing for pictures and signing autographs.
Posting on Twitter, Harley Hewitt said: ‘Such a good day @officialpompey. Got to see some of my hero's,’ while Alex Main posted: ‘The boy managed to meet some of his hero’s this morning. Thanks to @officialpompey for hosting the open training.’
