THE public are being urged to join a sponsored walk in memory of two young girls.

Alexandra and Sophie Usai were identical twins who had learning disabilities. Alexandra died aged 15 following a spinal operation.

Sophie died a year ago, aged 19, after catching a bug in hospital.

Last year their mother Anita, from Havant, and friend Kerry Whapshott set up Chaos Support, in Leigh Road, Havant, where young people with learning disabilities can work, learn and socialise together. The money raised from the walk will go to the organisation.

Mrs Usai said: ‘We want to make this into an annual event in memory of the twins because they would have loved to be involved in all that has been done and proud of what has been achieved.

‘This is their legacy. Anyone is welcome to join us.’

The walk begins at 11am on Sunday outside Eastney Swimming Pool and finishes at Clarence Pier. It costs £2.
