Youth team gets chance to showcase charity work

YOUTH workers received a visit from the Queen's judicial representative.

Hampshire’s High Sheriff Tom Floyd yesterday went to Gosport to meet members of Motiv8.

The charity helps young people to improve their lives and tackles reoffending, anti-social behaviour and getting people back into education or employment.

Motiv8 manager Kirsty Cremer said: ‘It has been amazing taking him to different organisations across Gosport and showing him the fantastic partnership work that happens in Gosport all for the benefit of young people.

‘A big thank you to the high sheriff for spending the day in Gosport, meeting young people and our partners at Gosport Summer Passport.’

Mr Floyd also visited Gosport Marine Scene at Haslar Marina to hear of its work with plans for youngsters to race small ships.
