Zoe, who joined the charity in 2013, won Volunteer Manager of the Year at the Third Sector Awards, which recognise the work of people across the not-for-profit sector.

Volunteers numbers at Over The Wall have shot up by 40 per cent – from 456 to 638 and counting – with Zoe’s help.

She has also opened more opportunities for volunteers with disabilities and helped to secure a £100,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund to develop Over The Wall.

Zoe said: ‘It is a privilege to receive the award. I’m thrilled that the exceptional and unique experience we offer at Over The Wall camps has been recognised in this way.’
