AN ANNUAL charity dinner in Fareham raised £500 for charity.

Abu-Suyeb Tanzam hosted the event at Gandhi Indian Takeaway in Anjou Crescent.

This money has brought his annual fundraising total to £2,600.

Abu said: ‘Everyone has been asking me about how much money we raised.

‘I’m raising money for the mayor’s charities and Cancer Research UK.

‘It is something that I do every year and I’m very pleased with how it has gone.

‘We all have a responsibility to do our bit for the local community, to come together as one.

‘It’s very important, particularly in light of everything that has happened in this country as of late.’
