Exhibition in Swanmore will commemorate the end of the First World WarÂ

AN EXHIBITION to commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War will be taking place in a Meon Valley village.Â

The exhibition '˜Swanmore Remembers' will be taking place this weekend at the Paterson Centre, Church Road, Swanmore. 

There will be displays showing the effect of the war on the village and surrounding areas, as well as photos and information of the fallen, a list of names of those who returned from the war and poetry.

There will be stalls from Swanmore College, Swanmore Primary School, Keith Harrington author of Swanmore on the Home Front in World War II and local artist Vera Tribbeck. 

Admission is free. The exhibition, which has been funded by Swanmore Parish Council and Hampshire County Council, is open on Saturday from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from 11.30am until 5pm.Â
