AN MP is calling on groups and organisations to apply for up to £50,000 from a health charity.
The People’s Health Trust is looking for two-year projects in the Portsmouth area to fund not-for-profit organisations and community groups with an income of less than £230,000 a year.
The ‘Active Communities’ scheme will provide investment between £5,000 and £50,000 for projects.
Suella Fernandes, Fareham MP, said: ‘Small charities and local groups are the heart of communities.
‘I hosted a senior citizens’ fair a couple of weeks ago and saw the plethora of groups working to support local people in all aspects of life. Most charities doing the vital work in communities are local and small and I urge them to apply for this.’
