ONE of the largest climbing walls in Hampshire is set to celebrate its first birthday next month.

Red Spider Climbing, at Fort Wallington Industrial Estate in Fareham, will mark the milestone with a day of fun competitions and family activities.

The activities on Saturday, December 3 will include competitions, cash prizes and giveaways for climbers of all ages, climbing competitions in elite, adult and junior categories and half-price taster sessions for beginners.

There will also be a pirate ship and castle, with a treasure hunt, face-painting, a slide long jump with a live DJ and food and drink.

Chris Edwards, manager of Red Spider Climbing said: ‘It’s hard to believe the year has gone so fast!

‘There’s a lot to celebrate due to rave reviews and a loyal and rapidly growing customer base across the Portsmouth-Southampton area.’
