A TEENAGER is making ‘slow progress’ in his journey back to health following a hit-and-run earlier this month.

Mikey Ford has been videoed out of bed and awake 10 days after sustaining a serious head injury on the northbound carriageway of the A32 in Fareham on July 8.

His father, Darren, has been posting regular updates on Mikey’s condition and in a video shared via Facebook on Monday, the 19-year-old is seen out of bed but holding on to rails.

Darren said: ‘He is making slow progress at the moment. Seems to have plateaued out a little.’
