AN MP has praised a community group.
Suella Fernandes, Fareham MP, said the Catisfield Village Association has ‘strong community spirit’ after she met them last Friday.
Miss Fernandes spoke to the group about her first year in parliament and was quizzed about everything from Brexit to her role in the constituency.
The MP said: ‘It was a pleasure meeting residents of Catisfield and the members CVA.
‘The CVA works to bring people together from the local area and promote community spirit by taking up campaigns on issues that matter to the people of Catisfield, putting on social events and pursuing charitable causes.
‘We all too often hear of the decline of community spirit, so it is refreshing to see the CVA buck this trend by working to bring people together. I thank and commend the CVA for the work it does in promoting a strong community spirit.’
