Concern as Fareham council tax rise is above inflation for third time in a row

Have your say

A VILLAGE has been given the go-ahead to start developing its own neighbourhood plan.

Fareham Borough Council’s executive gave its backing for Titchfield Neighborhood Forum at a meeting on Monday night.

The forum will now be allowed to develop a plan, which if approved by the council and residents, would be included in the authority’s forthcoming extension to its Local Plan.

It allocates land in the area of the village where residents can suggest development would be best accommodated.

Anne Wheal, of the forum, told councillors: ‘We would like to develop a plan so that residents can have their say.

‘We are extremely active here at the forum and would like a plan to make Titchfield a place people go to rather than go through.’
