A SCHOOL, budget furnishing store and leisure centre have had windows and doors smashed in an attempt to gain entry.

Police received reports of break-ins, or attempted break-ins, overnight at Bridgemary School, The Range and Gosport Leisure Centre.

Officers are appealing for CCTV that covers any of these areas in order to help with their enquiries.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday December 12) should call 101 and explain the situation to the call taker.

It comes after a string of break-ins at schools across Gosport at the end of last month.

Officers encouraged teachers and staff at any school to be vigilant, to ensure that all doors and windows are locked, and that equipment is locked away.
