A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy’s day at school took a difficult turn when he became stuck between two trees.
Firefighters were called to rescue the youngster at Brockhurst Primary School in Gosport at 11.22am today.
Emergency services had to be called after the boy’s knee became trapped in a tight gap close to the bottom of the trees.
A crew from Gosport Fire Station used spreading equipment to free the boy – who was not injured – in a procedure which took less than 20 minutes.
A spokesperson for the station said the boy became ‘emotional’ after he got stuck, but was comforted during the incident by members of school staff.
