FIREFIGHTERS used soap to free a boy from railings on a bridge in Gosport.

They were called to Haslar Bridge at 11.05am today where the youngster got his leg caught in the railings after a group of children had been jumping off the bridge.

A spokesman at Gosport Fire Station said: ‘Officers were called to the scene at Haslar Bridge where they helped a child free from the railings with soap.’
