A murder probe has been launched after a man was found dead in Gosport.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being quizzed by detectives while in custody.
Pictures from the scene show a cordon in place at a bungalow in Southcroft Road in Gosport today and a heavy police presence.
Police were called to the street at 5.30pm on Monday after a 54-year-old man was found dead at his home.
Specialist officers are supporting the man's next of kin, police said.
A police spokeswoman said: 'Formal identification procedures are ongoing.
'A 16-year-old boy, from Gosport, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
‘There will be a lot of police activity in the area as our investigations into the exact circumstances of the death continue.
'We understand that there will be concern among residents within the neighbourhood but we would like to reassure you that at this stage this is being treated as an isolated incident.
'Our officers will be in the area so please speak to them if you have any concerns.'
